Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Human Resource Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on various HR matters, including compliance, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. This role will work closely with management and employees to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meets with assigned clients and manages all HR generalist activities.
- Analyzes and recommends solutions to HR issues for assigned clients.
- Develops, revises and implements HR policies, procedures and job descriptions for clients.
- Acts as external recruiter for clients.
- Creates and updates client handbooks.
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Conducts various investigations including harassment and misconduct
- Maintains and reviews onboarding activities for assigned clients in client technology platforms or in Envision platform.
- Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow internally and externally.
- Compiles and analyzes data for reports and special projects. (salary benchmarking, etc.)
- Conducts periodic audits of client Human Resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures (both internally and externally)
- Participates in professional development sessions or seminars.
- Leads special and cross-functional project teams.
- Presents training sessions related to the assigned program or section area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of generalist experience in Human Resources, preferably in a consulting role
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Must be able to self monitor and manage priorities with little supervision
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional certification in Human Resources (e. g. , PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
- Experience in a variety of industries and organizational settings
- Proven track record of successfully implementing HR initiatives and improving organizational performance
