Southeast Texas HR is seeking a Human Resource Assistant for a 12-week position to join our team in a healthcare environment. This role will be critical in working with the HR department in the day-to-day functions of the team. As our Human Resource Assistant you will be assisting current and new employees with questions and concerns via phone, email, or in person. This will be a Monday-Friday position on the day shift. This job pay $16.00 per hour.
Responsibilities of Human Resource Assistant:
- Manage calls, meetings, and calendars for HR Director.
- Issue and replace badges for all current employees
- Create and maintain files for all newly hired, active, and contract employees
- Break down and file terminated employees including filing and sending to storage
- Work with students and interns to gather documentation, and ensure they have started and completed their observations
- Complete verification of employment documents
- Other duties as designated
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 or more years of experience in Human Resources
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and background check
- Must be able to obtain all immunization records
