The Assistant HT Forge Shop Supervisor acts as back up for HT Supervisor, is responsible for supervising the Forge Shop and HT Furnace operations, and scheduling.
Main Responsibilities
- Assists the Forging Supervisor with all forge and Heat treat furnaces operations.
- Ensures that parts are processed per the procedures to ensure the best possible quality.
- Capable to operate HT furnaces and help during forging operation if is required.
- Assist in the supervision and coordination of workers engaged in heating, forging, and inspecting workpieces and products.
- Schedule workload Heat Treat activities (Quench, Normalizing, Tempering and Annealing)
- Assure that Forging, Heat Treat equipment and fixtures are adequately maintained to guarantee the safety of people and quality of the product.
- Ensure the highest level of safety and good housekeeping in work environment through implementation of safety practices.
Basic Requirements:
- 1-year min supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
- 1 year min. experience on forging processes, setup and run forge presses and Heat Treat Furnaces required.
- Familiar with different metals alloys properties.
- Familiar with different types of dies to be used for forging operations and their setting up mechanisms.
- Able to read blueprints and use measuring instruments like vernier, calipers.
- Familiar with MRP system and MS Office
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
