Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Capital Practice Director to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Human Capital Practice Director will play a pivotal role in leading and growing our Human Resource Consulting practice. This role requires a strategic thinker, a builder of HR structures, and a dynamic leader with a proven track record in the HR consulting industry. Additionally, the successful candidate should have held a leadership position in the consulting industry, networking, or HR-related network, and have practical HR experience within an organization. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading HR consulting teams and will be responsible for overseeing a team of HR Managers, driving business growth, and establishing themselves as a subject matter expert in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of HR Managers, providing guidance and support in delivering high-quality HR consulting services to clients.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and excellence within the Human Capital Practice team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and development plans for direct reports.

Business Growth and Client Development:
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand our client base and increase revenue within the HR consulting practice.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling consulting services to existing clients.
  • Actively participate in client meetings and contribute to client relationship management.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition to effectively manage consultant capacity, ensuring that all client needs are fulfilled with the best-suited talent, and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.

Strategic HR Consulting:
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic HR solutions for clients, including organizational design, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and HR process improvement.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their unique HR needs and provide tailored solutions to address their challenges.

Network Building and Thought Leadership:
  • Attend industry networking events and conferences to build a strong professional network within the HR community.
  • Become a recognized subject matter expert (SME) in HR consulting by sharing insights, participating in speaking engagements, and contributing to thought leadership content.

Financial Acumen:
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of numbers and budgets, using financial data to inform and guide the growth of the Human Capital Consulting practice.

Office Presence:
  • This is a hybrid position, working remotely 2-3 days a week and maintaining a strong in-office presence, coming into the office 2-3 days per week. This hybrid model provides leadership and support to the team and fosters a collaborative work environment.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a Human Resource Consulting team, with at least 10 years of experience in total.
  • Proven ability to build and expand HR consulting services and client relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, dynamic, and passionate about the HR consulting industry.
