- GENERAL SUMMARY
- The HRIS Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring HRIS data integrity while processing employment information and data changes; ensuring internal HR procedures are maintained and aligned with HR and HR systems, and creating statistical reports using the HRIS system and reporting tool. Reports to department leadership.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enters personnel change information including new hire information and employee changes (promotions, transfers, etc.).
- Tracks and audits required education, licensure, and certifications.
- Develops custom reports and metrics to meet the needs of the HR department.
- Analyzes related processes to recommend efficiencies.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with all departments, managers and employees.
- Exercises discretion with highly confidential information.
- Provides end user support and furnishes ad hoc and production reports, as necessary.
- Analyzes and ensures data integrity using effective audit tools and practices.
- Manages both day-to-day duties and project work with the ability to plan and meet required deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
- None required.
- MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in HR or a related business field preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- 1-3 years of Human Resource experience providing HRIS data records and reporting support.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and HRIS database software with ability to learn new systems and new technology.
- Strong data entry skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-through.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of human resource practices and records protocols.
- Critical thinker with ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and seek sound solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills and highly self-motivated.
- Knowledge of employment law and regulatory requirements preferred.
