Our products are for engine applications in agriculture, construction, power generation, industrial, marine, and on-highway vehicles. Over the years Stanadyne has expanded with precision manufacturing locations in China, India, Italy, and the United States. We have been providing innovative fuel system solutions to our customers for over 50 years and continue to focus on developing future cutting-edge fuel systems that will help distinguish our customers' engines from their competition. Our Blythewood manufacturing facility has about 250 employees operating over three shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer, the plant HR Manager is responsible for managing the employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, workers’ compensation, diversity, training and employment areas as they relate to all plant employees. The HR Manager will ensure the uniform and equitable application of organization policies and procedures and effectively manages the resolution or employee/management concerns in this area. This position manages the development and administration of training needs, plans and procedures, to ensure an appropriate level of training for employees at all levels in the organization. Ensures Company compliance with TS-16949 and all training for hourly and salaried staff. The HR Manager supervises the HR Generalist of the plant and the payroll process. This position will work on and manage company-wide initiatives, including global initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
- Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Leads the safety committee at the plant and acts as a champion for employee safety each day.
- Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
- Works as a change agent for the company and drives positive change through the plant to drive productivity and profitability.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the human resources team; resolves employe issues; manages compensation for the plant; answers employee benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
- Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management in the local area.
- Works with the CHRO and human resources team to implement company initiatives.
- Supports the strategic vision of the company.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in dealings with employees, confidential information, and dealings with managers.
- Drives positive employee engagement daily and through company initiatives.
- Coaches and provides guidance to management as required.
- Conducts supervisor training in applicable areas of human resources.
- Complies with federal and state reporting requirements including EEO-1, OSHA 300, and ACA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- 10-15 years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, supervisory experience, and overall generalist experience is required.
- Experience managing employees who process payroll a plus.
- HR experience in manufacturing a plus
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to regularly walk the plant floor and speak with employees.
