- Recruit and select personnel using ICIMS while ensuring effective recruiting strategies are used to source and hire qualified candidates. Conducts employment verifications on all potential hires.
- Distribute compensation benefits to eligible employees.
- Train and develop onboarding orientation procedures for new employees according to departmental requirements.
- Manage and maintain new employee profiles in Peoplesoft to include but not limited to benefit assignments, vacation management, paid time off, etc.
- Responsible for onboarding new staff and processing requests such as email, Net Suite account, phone or tablet, vehicle, element card, etc. to employees.
- Maintain and review the company manual of policies and procedures.
- Apply warnings when the company's policies are violated to achieve a corrective attitude.
- Strive for effective employee relations.
- Ensure that employees work in the best physical and emotional conditions.
- Identify and plan training for personnel in the required areas.
- Make some employment verifications requested by previous employees.
- Create and revise job descriptions and workflow analyses.
- Maintain company directory and other organizational charts.
- Celebrate monthly birthdays and anniversaries.
- Provide support in the Operations Department with information on trucks, vehicles, element cards, odometers, etc.
- Organize the employee files and driver qualification files regularly and electronically.
- Keep up-to-date licenses, DoT medical cards, and work permits for employees.
- Enter employee weekly schedules (supplied by Operations Manager) into Logile system. Manage hours.
- Maintain department records and reports such as accidents reports/damage to the fleet, overtime reports, exception reports, late in/late out/absences, labor cost by department, etc.
- Manage expense reports of employees to be reimbursed in their direct deposit accounts. Notify sales representatives of their balance miles. Collect checks and send them to MDI weekly.
- Ensures an effective office operation is always maintained.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. 5+ years of experience in the Human Resources field.
