Job Description
Reporting to the Group Head of HR in the UK, this role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a comprehensive HR service, providing first class HR advice and guidance to US Managers and Senior Leaders on all aspects of the employee lifecycle and contributing to the achievement of the business strategy and objectives.
This role will be largely operational and tactical with a strong focus on supporting the implementation of some of the key strategic initiatives currently underway.
Due to demand and business growth, this is a newly created role where you will provide HR support to our 3 US locations. You will be based in Greenville however regular presence / travel may be required across all sites.
Operational/Transactional
- Provide first class HR expertise, advice and guidance to all US employees including managers and senior leaders ensuring a consistent pragmatic and commercial approach in line with company standards and current US employment legislation
- Conduct regular reviews of US HR policies and processes covering all aspects of the employee life cycle, to ensure they remain fit for purpose and align with the group HR approach.
- Support and coach line managers to effectively manage all aspects of people related BAU/Continuous improvement activity to ensure company objectives are achieved
- Keep up to date with new legislation and relevant labor law changes
- Prepare for, facilitate, and ensure disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management cases and outcomes have been recorded in the HR system
- Carry out analysis of employee data, and identify any trends or areas where improvements/changes to policies and procedures may be necessary
- Produce monthly board reports, people trends and data that inform the Exec and Leadership teams of relevant MI and HR initiatives
- Support the roll out of HR projects and organizational change programs to enable delivery of the People Plan
- Work with the wider UK HR team to ensure consistency throughout the Lucideon Group
- Support Talent Attraction Specialist to ensure all recruitment needs are met
- Build effective working relationships with managers and senior leaders through collaboration and gaining personal credibility
Administration
- Responsible for maintaining up to date electronic and paper filing systems in accordance with relevant Data Protection legislation, manage archives and carry out file audits periodically
- Process all transactional HR requests on the HR system
- Process all references for new starters and leavers
- Administration - updating records, sourcing suppliers, training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or a related field; advanced degree preferred
Experience:
- Experience gained in a similar role, ideally having worked in a standalone capacity
- Demonstrable generalist HR experience with a particular focus on employee relations
- Sound knowledge of state labor laws and the application of those in a business
- Ability to evidence a customer focused, collaborative and hands-on approach
- Solid experience of using HR database systems and reporting functions
