IE is a leading provider and manufacturer of custom engineered Process, Electrical Control and Power Distribution turn-key solutions to the Data Center, Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, Mining industries in North America. Our products range from large scale one-off custom Power Distribution, Control and Process systems to standard off-the-shelf electronic/electro-mechanical components. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, we are currently seeking a Recruiter and HR Generalist to be based at our South Point, Oh facility.

The Recruiter and HR Generalistis responsible for full-cycle recruiting owning multiple requisitions and partnering with hiring managers to attract and select key talent for our South Point, Ohio. Additionally, they will assist corporate HR in managing site specific HR needs.

This person should be a natural talent hunter exhibiting high energy and professionalism. You excel at creating sourcing plans and managing a high volume of pipeline candidates. You should have a strong understanding of the technical roles that you will be recruiting including electricians, welders, painters, and engineers.

Recruiting

  • In conjunction with HR Manager, support and execute a recruiting strategy to continuously attract, engage, and hire top talent.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to develop and implement creative strategies to source and identify candidates including social media, company website, print, traditional media, etc
  • Accurately assess candidates for cultural, competency, and skill fit, quickly synthesizes candidate and hiring manager feedback and routinely pre-closes candidates to ensure high acceptance rates.
  • Advise hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and collaborate with others throughout the organization to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Ensure a diverse pipeline for open positions: engage and build relationships with organizations and education partners.
  • Schedule interviews with candidates to discuss and evaluate their background, experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Administer background and drug tests, as required, and evaluate the suitability of employment.
  • Negotiate and extend job offers.
  • Establish feeder systems and relationships with local schools and trade associations to source future candidates.
  • Support and drive local intern programs including recruitment, mentor training, and assessment.
  • Identify internal and external candidates for vacant positions.
  • Participate in job fairs, conferences, on-campus and other special hiring events.
  • Serve as a liaison between hiring managers and staffing agencies as applicable.

Reporting

  • Monitor and report out on recruiting metrics and quotas including meeting monthly hiring targets.
  • Hold quarterly reviews of processes and results with company stakeholders to make ongoing adjustments and continuous improvement.

Other HR Related Duties

  • Assists HR team in responding to questions and issues regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Contributes to the development of the Human Resources strategic objectives and assists in the execution of the resulting plans and objective.
  • Provides input into the development of HR, systems, policies and programs in support of the organization's culture and overall strategic plan.
  • Comply with ISO 9001 requirements.

  • BA/BS degree preferred - Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development
  • 4+ years of experience of full-cycle corporate recruiting
  • 4+ year of experience sourcing and attracting top passive talent
  • Experience recruiting engineering, technical sales and skilled trades.
  • Experience designing talent development programs
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Available for travel 35% of the time
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management, decision-making, organization, human relations, and negotiation skills
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines (i.e. fill rates with start dates)
