HR Manager
Overview:
Reporting to the Director – Human Resources – Johnny's Selected Seeds is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead HR initiatives and contribute to the development of a thriving organizational culture. The ideal candidate will bring strategic HR leadership, hands-on operational business expertise, and a passion for fostering a positive work environment.
In this role, you will work proactively with cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, product management, and operations to effectively support our Winslow Operations site. Your experience with hourly teams in manufacturing and/or logistics will enable you to fully engage and partner across the site.

- You are a trusted thought partner and leader within the facility – not just an “order taker” – you offer ideas and suggestions as an extension of the Operations leadership team on how to achieve business objectives
- You collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment and retention strategies and manage the full recruitment life cycle.
- You identify developmental needs and coordinate/deliver learning and development programs
- You provide guidance and sound boarding to managers and supervisors regarding employee relations issues and foster a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
- You are experienced in supporting an Operational environment (warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing)
- You partner with the larger HR team to fully support Johnny’s HR initiatives across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on leveraging strong partnerships in manufacturing and logistics environments.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices as they relate to hourly workforces.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong employee relations skills and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to bend, lift, and pull up to 20 lbs.
