About Us:
Arizona Sonoran Copper Company is an emerging copper producer in the United States with corporate offices in Toronto and Tempe. It’s principal asset is the Cactus Project located adjacent to Casa Grande, AZ. Publicly traded on the TSX, the organization is currently
conducting exploration and engineering studies and employs 40 full time personnel.
About the Role:
The HR Manager will support all of the Arizona based activities, principally at the Cactus Project and report to the SVP Projects. The successful candidate will be an experienced Human Resources Manager, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department, including hiring and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to securing a positive work environment and experience for our employees and organization.
Responsibilities to include:
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring process, including onboarding for new employees and the development of employment contracts
- Oversee the development and implementation of training programs.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, including employee handbooks, job descriptions, and performance management systems
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances
- Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence policies
Although currently at a study phase, the project will initially transition into a construction site and ultimately into operations, employing +300 personnel, employees and contractors. The HR Manager position will play a critical role in the process supporting recruitment and growth of the organization through this transition period and into the long term operation.
