The Role And You
The HR Generalist & Payroll Specialist serves as a key resource for the organization while coordinating and supporting day-to-day HR initiatives. The HR Generalist & Payroll Specialist will have exposure to all facets of HR, including but not limited to the administration of policies, benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, leaves of absence, compliance, and payroll. Building relationships with all departments and practices by resolving questions and communicating regularly and on time is essential to this role. This role will initially report to the VP of Human Resources.

- Handles technology with ease (in particular Paylocity and Microsoft Excel)

What You'll Do
- Own the onboarding experience
- Provide support with the completion of New Hire paperwork
- Monitors PTO balances for compliance and usage policies of assigned region(s)
- Ensures compliance with Form I-9 and periodically audits I-9s at designated practices
- Identify ways to maximize the utilization of talent
- Assist with the development and delivery of programs that drive employee engagement
- Reviews and analyzes people-related data, presents results, and recommends opportunities that positively influence organizational behaviors and outcomes
- Works closely with the HR team in recruitment duties
- Regularly audits and assesses employee data to ensure accuracy
- Assists VP of HR with employee relations issues by coaching, counseling, and guiding managers
- Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case files
- Files EEO-1 annually and maintains related records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations
- Files OSHA 300A forms annually
- Supports the administration of company-wide surveys
- Provide weekly updates to the VP of HR to ensure business needs are met
- Supports HR processing of personnel actions for assigned employee groups, including compensation changes, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, terminations, etc.
- Provide a consultative approach to internal stakeholders
- Partners with other HR team members each payroll cycle to ensure accuracy and timely submission
- Assists leadership with acquisition due diligence and onboarding of new practices into the platform
- Assist with ad-hoc projects

Extras We Value Highly
- Experience with working in a matrixed environment
- Multi-state HR expertise, preferably within highly compliant states (CA, NY, OR, IL)
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of payroll processing
- Experience utilizing Paylocity
- HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or another applicable field is preferred
- 3+ years of multi-state HR experience
- 1+ years' experience using Paylocity
- 1+ years' experience processing multi-state payrolls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with demonstrated teamwork and vendor management skills
- Experience in a deadline-oriented, multi-task environment
- Proven ability to interact with all levels of management and other staff
