We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist with a specialized focus on payroll to join their growing team. This position is crucial to the success of the organization as it involves managing payroll operations across various states, implementing HR policies, administering benefits, and contributing to the recruitment process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processes for employees in multiple US states.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including deductions, taxes, and compliance with state-specific regulations.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll data and address discrepancies.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Facilitate communication with employees regarding benefits, answering inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to optimize the benefits offerings.

HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to policies and address any compliance issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR-related matters

Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and assist in developing effective recruitment strategies.
  • Participate in the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and resolving issues in collaboration with management.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through proactive employee engagement initiatives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience, with a focus on payroll processing and administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Flexible and adaptable – can manage change and work comfortably with ambiguity
  • Team player – works well in a collaborative environment.
  • Being fluent in English and Spanish is desirable.
  • This is a full-time remote position.
