Position: Human Resource Generalist
Reports to: Vice President of Brand Engagement & Talent Acquisition
Position Highlights
As the HR Generalist, you will be the coordinator and organizer of important team member documents, point of contact for sensitive conversations, manager of benefit administration, as well as ensuring GMC is complaint with mandates, regulations, and policies. You get to connect with individuals while answering phones, directing in office traffic, and sharing news to our GMC community via email. The goal of this role is to ensure that our HR operations are running smoothly, and we continue to create an environment for our teams to thrive. Our office is fun and fast paced just like our production floors which means this position requires high levels of multi-tasking and organization, as well as the ability to handle confidential information. Our perfect candidate will be reliable, friendly, positive, experienced in human resources field, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and will have a “whatever it takes” attitude.
A Day in The Life of a Human Resource Generalist
• Manage various HR related tasks including but not limited to team member file management, compensation management, benefit administration
• Provide team member support surrounding HR related topics including but not limited to policy, compensation, attendance and scheduling, and benefits
• Assist in talent, recruitment and onboarding as needed
• Develop and promote programs to keep the organization efficient and conflict free
• Assist in development and administration of company policy and procedure
• Aid and support performance management as needed
• Provide information to callers including details about our organization and culture, as well as necessary team member information
• General administrative and clerical support including data entry, filing, and organizing
• Preparation of letters, documents, fliers, and mail handling
• Scheduling appointments and coordinate business calendars for Operations Manager, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Office as required
• Handle necessary tasks and off-site appointments when needed
• Brainstorm and share creative, strategic, planning ideas
• Assist in engagement efforts and events as requested
• Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma required
• SHRM and/or other professional Human Resources Certification preferred
• 2+yrs Human Resource experience
• Valid drivers license and dependable transportation
• Willingness to learn new things
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and solid typing skills
• Customer Service experience preferred
