Senior Hr Generalist

Ultimate Staffing is looking for a Senior-Level HR Generalist for a client in the St. Louis area. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Bachelor's Degree and be located in the St. Louis area to be considered.

Job Title: Senior HR Generalist

Location: St. Louis, MO- Hybrid

Status: Contract

Compensation: $28-34/hr based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations
• Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements
• Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
• Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company
• Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary
• Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes
• Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development
• Lead recommendations for supervisory infrastructure and associated resource requirements
• Provide generalist expertise, advice, and counsel in areas including recruiting, compensation, benefits, labor relations, employment law, health and safety, workers' compensation, organizational development, performance management, onboarding, training, and relocation.
• Develop and implement HR programs and activities designed to improve overall morale, job satisfaction, and safety of associates

Requirements:

• 5+ years of working experience in an increasingly responsible HR position
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources related field
• PHR/SHERM Certification preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of state/federal employment laws including Risk Mitigation, Recruiting, Investigations, Project Management, and Business Management.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal business partners and work with associates and all levels of leadership.
• Ability to influence with respect to HR matters.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong presentation skills.
