Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
2 years experience within a Human Resources Department which provides a general overview of Human Resources function and systems, policies and procedures. Acute care hospital experience a plus.
Position Description:
Act as a resource contact person on the administration of human resources policies and procedures.
Provide professional administrative assistance in the following areas: recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, or training.
The ability to retrieve and relay information in a written, auditory and/or visual fashion is essential.
A professional, courteous demeanor to promote a positive image for the department is crucial.
The ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers (payors, vendors, public, professional staff, patients/family members and employees) is essential.
The capacity to maintain confidentiality in the handling of sensitive information is critical.
Develops and implement strategies that focus on the proper selection and retention of employees.
Provides the leadership of the organization with necessary information and education to assure compliance with human resources and employment related standards relative to applicant selection and employee retention.
Creates and calculates metric-based information (dashboards) related to retention of staff and assists the department in goal-setting of turnover.
On boards all new staff to the organization to assist in the achievement of a successful introduction to the hospital.
Coordinates new employee orientation and presents various segments of the orientation.
Services as a resource for all staff in order to reduce turnover, flight risk and resignations, as appropriate.
