JOB DETAILS: The Human Resources Generalist is an integral member of the Human Resources department at Camillus House. This person is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the HR unit and supports the organization by assisting others with multiple HR related tasks.
Salary (Paid in US Dollars)
$60,000/annually
Qualifications: Ability to understand and practice the mission of Camillus House.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field required from an U.S. accredited university.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional work experience in HR, in a similar job role.
Language: Proficiency in oral/written English. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred; additional languages a plus (i.e., Creole).
Skills: Proficiency in computer (Word, Excel, other data collecting programs) and ADP WorkforceNow.
Requirements
Successful completion of background screening, including but not limited to L2, OIG, and toxicology.
Valid FL Driver License with clean driving record.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates recruitment efforts with hiring managers and search committee members (i.e., personnel requisition forms, advertising or posting of job vacancies, updates job descriptions for web posting as needed, assists in reviewing resumes for qualifications upon receipt, schedules interviews).
- Processes, verifies, and maintains personnel related documentation including background screening reports, allocations, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, termination, leaves of absence, transfers, exit interviews, and promotions.
- Compiles and prepares reports and documents pertaining to personnel (i.e., employee census, years of service roster, turnover report).
- Coordinates and maintains toxicology reports for new-hires, interns, agency placements and active employees.
- Develops and executes onboarding program for new hires and interns.
- Ensures payroll is processed timely and accurately for all employees. Maintains employee information in ADP. Coordinates the processing and payment of payroll garnishments and any other payroll deduction in ADP.
- Supports the VP of HR in projects as needed.
- Processes invoices and coordinates payments for all benefits.
- Conducts open enrollment for employee benefits (i.e., health, dental, medical, supplemental plans).
- Attends meetings as assigned and actively engages as a member of assigned committees.
- Ensures all Bulletin Boards are updated with Federal/State/EEO and other required or suggested employment posters and notices.
- Maintains HR compliance in all aspects of the job functions.
- Maintains and updates job descriptions, performance appraisals, policies-procedures, and employee handbook, as approved.
- Coordinates staff training and development (i.e., CPR, DCF, ce-classes, CARF, HIPAA) and prepares and conducts employee surveys as required by CARF.
- Reports Worker’s Compensation claims as needed and maintains log.
- Assists with day-to- day operation of the HR office, includes ordering of office supplies for the HR Dept. Processes mail as needed for the HR Dept.
- Prepares monthly newsletter report (i.e., monthly birthdays, anniversaries, new-hires, terminations/resignations).
- Maintains accurate employee files (i.e., payroll, personnel, and medical); includes timely filing of documents.
- Enrolls and terminates employees in online databases for benefits (i.e., retirement, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, COBRA and FMLA etc.).
- Coordinates and maintains the annual calendar of HR events. Ensures monthly events run efficiently and on time by preparing in advance (i.e., reserving the room, coordinating with facilities, and IT etc.)
- Processes forms as needed (i.e., requisitions, transfers, new hires)
- Other Duties as assigned.
