HR Generalist
$55-70K
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join an outstanding company in Syracuse, NY. The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources function with a focus on recruiting, new employee onboarding, employee relations, and administrative duties associated with the HR function.
This company is well-established and stable and provides a great team environment with room for advancement within the business. A comprehensive compensation and benefits package is offered, with a salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring
- Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation processes
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws and regulations
- Address employee relations issues in a timely and professional manner
- Handle worker compensation and disability claims
- Conduct open enrollment for benefit programs
- Update the employee handbook as necessary
- Lead special projects as assigned
- Ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR from an accredited college
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of human resources experience
- Strong problem analysis/resolution skills
- Proven ability to work well within a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Experience in a union environment is a plus, but not required
- SHRM-CP/PHR desired
