Description:

General:

The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing and managing a range of HR functions to support Action Seating and Mobility’s goals and objectives. They act as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring compliance with labor laws, promoting a positive work environment, and providing essential HR services.

Responsibilities and Duties:

HR Generalist will run the daily functions of Human Resources including recruiting, hiring, interviewing staff, onboarding and offboarding of employees. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage the full recruitment process, including job posting, candidate screening, interviews, scheduling auditions and secondary interviews, and hiring.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Acquire background checks.

Offboarding:

  • Terminating access for employees exiting Action Seating & Mobility.
  • Working with our IT Vendor to ensure they complete the technical side.

Employee Relations:

  • Internal marketing.
  • Address employee concerns, disputes, and grievances.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in the performance appraisal process.
  • Support managers in setting performance goals and providing feedback.

HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.

Records Management:

  • Maintain accurate employee records.
  • Save documents to employee files when sent from others in the organization.

Payroll, Compensation and Benefits:

  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs.
  • Assist in salary benchmarking and benefits reviews.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience is preferred.
  • Relevant HR certification (SHRM-CP) a plus.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with Paylocity and Recruiting platform.
