JOB SUMMARY
As the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for the execution various HR functions within the church. You'll serve as a strategic partner, aligning HR practices with the church’s mission and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of HR and will office out of our Broken Arrow campus.
POSITION SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage recruitment cycle through onboarding
- Identify and develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent with a calling to ministry
- Assist onboarding processes to integrate new hires effectively and ensure successful assimilation to BattleCreek Church
- Assist in managing employer branding through various initiatives and social media platforms
Performance Management and Development:
- Assist in the performance review processes and provide guidance to managers
- Assist in the development of strategic initiatives to enhance BattleCreek Church culture and serve staff
- Identify training needs and partner with management in development
Compliance, Policies, and Legal Adherence:
- Partner with management to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Advise and collaborate in the development HR policies and procedures in line with regulatory changes
- Mitigate legal risks through personal growth in continued education of employment law developments
HR Administration, Payroll, and Benefits:
- Manage employee benefits administration including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefit programs
- Assist with open enrollment processes and facilitating enrollment or changes
- Oversee accurate HR documentation within HRIS
- Partner with finance and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll and benefits operations
- Handle employee inquiries and troubleshoot issues related to payroll and benefits
Strategic HR Planning:
- Assist in collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals
- Assist in development and implementation HR initiatives to enhance the HR function for BattleCreek Church
- Analyze HR metrics to recommend and drive data-centric initiatives
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3 – 5 years of proven experience within Human Resources
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational needs and initiatives
- Strong analytical skills to interpret HR metrics
- Exceptional communication and relational skills to support employee base
