The HR and Payroll Coordinator provides support to the Human Resources Department. This individual will provide administrative support to leaders within the department who are responsible for payroll processing, talent acquisition, training and development, and human resource management.
Pay Range: $25 - $28 / hour.
This position is on-site.
Essential Job Functions:
- Model the company's core values and culture through positive interactions with team members on a consistent basis.
- Support departmental efficiencies and progress by generating timely meeting notes and keeping project boards up to date.
- Process monthly healthcare billing for corporate and select service division. Ensure billing is correct and changes are tracked.
- Answer healthcare questions/resolve issues for corporate employees and ensure proper enrollment occurs in HRIS/Payroll system for corporate and select service division.
- Ensure onboarding checklists complete for new hires by conducting routine audits and following-up with property leaders.
- Provide employment verification in compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
- Provide timely response for unemployment agency requests.
- Assist with tracking of team member one-on-ones.
- Audit vacation and sick leave balances in the HRIS System.
- Assist in management of company's 401k plan to include annual year-end testing and distribution of annual regulatory notices.
- Maintain up to date human resources SOPs.
- Maintain HRIS system and serve as liaison to Inova (vendor).
- Assist in managing and tracking FMLA leave requests/time off schedules.
- Assist in processing annual ACA data reporting. Respond to monthly ACA reporting for corporate and select service division to ensure coding is kept current monthly.
- Prepare all statutory wage reporting requirements - EEO1 and CA Pay Data.
- Ensure OSHA 200 Logs are submitted to VP Human Resources by January 20th each year for approval and resubmission back to the hotels.
- Assist with preparation of employee and Payroll files for distribution upon request or for legal purposes.
- In conjunction with HR team leaders, assist in writing HR policies and practices.
- In conjunction with HR team leaders, ensure job descriptions are in place for each position.
- Lead efforts in the management of the home office - management of mail, supplies, cleanliness, greeting guests, and coordinating events.
