Job Title: Legal Assistant

Location: Dallas, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday, business hours

Pay: $25.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• The legal assistant works with the Assistant Director and the Attorney V on highly confidential workplace investigations and employee discipline issues.

• The role requires extreme tact and the ability to avoid disclosing information without authorization. Requires good judgment and circumspection

• Candidate will be providing administrative support to the EEO manager.

• Assists the Assistant Director in logistics for department-wide meetings, and manager training (in person and virtual) including scheduling meeting space and providing support in setting up the meeting.

• Will assist the entire investigations team during high volume

• May summarize witness interviews and format investigation documents or reports.

• Previous experience performing entry-level human resource management task to support a human resource area.

• Candidate must have HR work experience in the coordination, administration or implementation of programs, policies, procedures and federal statutes related to recruiting and employment, compensation and benefits, workers compensation and safety, employee relations and staff development, and payroll and time and attendance

• The ability to resolve routine issues and answer routine inquires

• Other duties as needed

Job Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.Relevant experience in an office environment, preferably in an administrative position

• Experience working in a law firm or legal department preferred, but will consider someone with experience supporting executives.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent writing skills strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation

• Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills

• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
