Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG) is looking for compassionate, hardworking employees to join our growing Team.
JCMG is looking for Housekeepers.
These are full-time positions with full benefits, including insurance, 148 PTO hours per year, 56 hours of paid Holidays per year including the day after Thanksgiving, and an Employee Retirement Plan (401K) with employer match. Tuition reimbursement and a grow our own Medical Assistant Program.
Normal working hours are Monday- Friday either 5:00 am= 1:30 pm. or 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Hours could vary based on the needs of the department.
Duties:
Keeps buildings and property in clean and orderly condition.
Performs routine Housekeeping/maintenance activities.
Performs heavy deep cleaning duties.
Follows proper procedures and instruction for cleaning equipment care and usage.
Gathers and empties trash.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polish, vacuums, floor stripping and waxing.
Dusts furniture, walls, equipment, handrails, and devices.
Scrubs, sanitizes, deep clean, sweep, mop, re-stock supplies in restroom facilities.
Follows proper procedures and instructions for chemicals used.
Vacuum, spot treat, use carpet extraction equipment to clean carpet areas.
Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
Performs other Housekeeping duties as assigned.
Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours.
Detail oriented.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.
Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time.
Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor buffers, microfiber flat mop, carpet machines, etc.
Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, coworkers, staff, and patients.
Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals preferred.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at particular heights.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of appropriate safety equipment and practices.
Prior Housekeeping experience in healthcare facility a plus.
Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Prior housekeeping/custodial experience a plus but not required.
