Remote Camp Housekeeper Mertarvik, AK Local Hire Only
Pay Range: $41 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:
This housekeeping position is in a remote camp environment in rural Alaska. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday for approximately 8 plus weeks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for maintaining a cleaning camp area.
• Responsible to take out the trash.
• Responsible to vacuum as needed.
• Sweep and mop needed areas.
• Clean the bathroom daily by wiping down and scrubbing toilets, sink, and mirrors.
• Dust and polish light fixtures.
• Safely move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas.
• Change-out and laundry of linens weekly and for room turn-overs.
• Remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Assist with unloading of groceries and supplies.
• Monitor and report any damage to the Head Cook Camp Manager immediately.
• Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as directed.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Must be able to work with industrial cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively plan and organize duties, practicing good time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to be detail oriented to ensure work is done efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with employees, business partners, and clients via written and verbal communication methods.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must possess a strong work ethic.
• Ability to organize and perform under deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to pass drug and background screening.
