Summary:

The Housing Facilities Lead is responsible for planning staff shifts, teaching and motivating team members, and inspecting the cleanliness of private and public locations. To be successful in this position, you must have a solid grasp of sanitation rules and team leadership skills

Essential Job Functions:

• Demonstrate proper use of equipment, cleaning chemicals, and supplies to safely clean and maintain housing units.
• Instruct housekeepers on cleaning and upkeep duties.
• Supervise employees on a daily basis.
• Inspect the cleanliness of rooms and communal areas, including stairwells and lounges.
• Schedule shifts and make replacement arrangements for absences.
• Establish and educate personnel regarding cleanliness and orderliness standards
• Motivate team members and address any work-related concerns. Respond to client complaints and special requests.
• Monitor and restock inventory of cleaning supplies including floor cleaner, bleach, and rubber gloves
• As required, participate in large-scale cleaning efforts.
• Assist in ensuring that Quality standards for all Housing Facilities efforts are maintained
• Assist in coordinating maintenance needs are met for housing unit
• Ensure that all locations comply with safety and sanitation policies.

Education and Experience:

• Two years’ experience as a Maintenance or Housekeeping Supervisor or comparable position required
• Practical knowledge of cleaning and maintenance duties for large enterprises
• Capability to employ industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Superior organizational and team leadership abilities
• Ability to withstand the physical demands of the job Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
• Experience with Maximo or a similar work order system preferred.
• A high school diploma is desirable or general education degree (GED).

Certification/Licensure:

Valid Alaska Driver’s License that meets ASNA insurance criteria within ninety (90) days of hire.
