- Responsible for the cleanliness and condition of the resort, including The Hotel, guest rooms and other assigned areas
- Maintain a high degree of floor presence to supervise team and inspect rooms cleaned by assigned Room Attendants using designated checklists. Provide appropriate feedback and coaching directly to team members regarding any deficiencies
- Effectively supervise team through respectful communication, clear expectations, relevant training, productive coaching, participating in regular team meetings, and collaborating with manager for team performance management
- Lead by example, be a positive example for team in action and attitude
- Delegate work as appropriate, stating clearly objectives and time-line requirements. Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift

- Support responsible management of department budget by adjusting staffing levels as needed, and efficient use of supplies

- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Verify room status on A.M. report; report discrepant rooms; prioritize and update status of check-out rooms
- Distribute keys, key cards and radios appropriately to team. Maintain accurate records to ensure security of keys and radios
- Update room status after approving cleanliness and condition in accordance with departmental standards
- Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs
- Manage housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper
- Complete all paperwork and closing duties by end of shift
- Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with manager and/or on-coming supervisor
- Check P.M. reports for accuracy and completeness
- Inventory and stock Housekeeping supplies
- Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
- Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Availability during peak operating times, ie: Weekends, Holidays and Special Events
- Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
- Understand company's emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
- Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
- Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

Requirements
- 2 years demonstrated cleaning/housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years demonstrated supervisory experience
