Hotel General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and qualified General Manager to lead the next phase of Shady Villa Hotel (aka Stagecoach Inn and Restaurant) in Salado, TX. This role is an opportunity to be involved as we renovate and re-brand this historic hotel (back to Stagecoach Inn) alongside a world-class team of architects, engineers, designers, and restaurateurs who have a passion for creating memorable hotel experiences for staff and customers.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the hospitality industry, ideally in renovations, opening and hotel operations. We are searching for a natural leader with exceptional communication skills, capable of training and managing a team of hospitality professionals. Independent hotel experience, particularly in establishing systems, processes and checklists for operational efficiency and consistency, is a significant advantage.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are paramount, including the ability to interact effectively with employees, guests, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be adept at building rapport, tenacious at quality operations and customer service and work collaboratively as part of a team. Additionally, they should be able to work independently, manage stress effectively, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a closely aligned field
• Minimum of five years of experience in hotel operations, with preference given to candidates possessing experience during renovations and creating hotel operating procedures
• Exceptional leadership qualities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with employees, guests, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards
• Passion for operations and a desire to contribute to a dynamic team
