RN Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Nurse to join our team. As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide specialized care and support to patients who are in the final stages of life. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients and their families during this challenging time.
Responsibilities:
- Registered Nurses are to conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the medical team
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on end-of-life care options and resources
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely
Skills:
- Proficiency in performing gastric lavage procedures
- Experience using Epic or similar electronic medical record systems
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and interpret laboratory results
- Knowledge of specimen collection processing techniques
- Competence in catheterization procedures
- Strong patient care skills, including wound care, suture removal, and pain management
- Proficient in monitoring vital signs and recognizing signs of distress or deterioration
- Experience working in an emergency room or critical care setting is preferred

Pay: $78,951.00 - $82,029.00 per year
