Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Home Director to organize, coordinate, and implement Encircle's portfolio of services offered at the Encircle Provo location. You will be a leader for your team of staff and volunteers in ways that promote our Encircle culture. Every day, you will manage operations, cleanliness, maintenance for your Encircle home. You will implement outcomes-based services that promote authenticity and connectedness among Encircle's guests while ensuring the safety and inclusion of everyone who walks through your doors.
The ideal candidate is an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff and volunteers of different disciplines and backgrounds. They will also demonstrate strong customer service skills, being passionate about getting to know and helping others and being in and with the community every day. The goal is to ensure that every Encircle guest-whether they're a queer youth or queer young adult or a parent or an ally-to-be-has a positive and meaningful experience.
The annual salary for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 depending on experience. Encircle offers health, dental, and vision insurance. We also offer 14 paid holidays and 15 days of paid vacation.
Responsibilities

  • Ensure individuals have a rewarding Encircle experience by listening with empathy, being an advocate, and providing the best service and support for our guests through relationship building and implementation of healthy boundaries.
  • Lead and manage part-time home staff to meet monthly, quarterly and annual impact goals.
  • Lead and manage all volunteers and interns to deliver the highest level of services
  • Recruit, hire and onboard home staff (Assistant Home Directors, volunteers and interns). Assist with other hiring needs when assigned.
  • Asses, plan, implement and evaluate all of Encircle Programs. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure program growth and success.
  • Maintain and upkeep the highest cleanliness and organization standards of the Encircle home as outlined in Encircle's policies and procedures.
  • Create and update monthly programming and community event calendars.
  • Supervise Drop-In Hours every day from 3:00-8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends.
  • Attend Encircle meetings and other relevant training as needed.
  • Manage and oversee the home's schedule, including programming, event, volunteer and staff schedules.
  • Give regular tours of the home to donors and first-time visitors.
  • Manage home's monthly expenses and budget reconciliation.
  • Order and maintain supplies and equipment needed for house upkeep and activities.
  • Exhibit passion and excitement for Encircle's services and guests.
  • Complete administrative work including email correspondence, paperwork and manual updates, team trainings, and any other projects assigned by the AVP of Programs
  • Complete required suicide prevention training, CPR/First aid Certification, and all other relevant training as determined by the AVP of Programs
  • Support Community Engagement initiatives and events as needed.

Requirements
  • Must be able to work a 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM shift on weekdays.
  • Must be able to work weekend events.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Program Management and Design (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programs).
  • 2+ years of experience working with youth and providing mentorship.
  • 2+ years experience managing a team of staff and interns.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field preferred.
  • Passion for high levels of customer service work.
  • Passion for a joyful, welcoming customer experience.
  • Understanding of Encircle's mission, branding and core values.
  • 18 years of age or older and ability to pass a background check.
  • Hands-on leadership style.
  • Excellent management, leadership, and people skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including diligent note taking, documentation and task management skills.
  • Punctual and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Creative and out of box thinker.
  • General computer skills-G Suite, Slack, email, etc.
  • Bilingual in English. Spanish is a plus!
