Duties
- Handle incoming phone calls
- Coordinate and oversee funeral services
- Consult with grieving families to discuss their needs and preferences for funeral arrangements
- Assist families in making decisions regarding caskets, urns, flowers, and other funeral-related products
- Arrange transportation of the deceased to the funeral home or cemetery
- Handle administrative tasks related to funeral arrangements, such as preparing and filing necessary paperwork
Experience
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Funeral Director or in a related field
- Strong knowledge of funeral directing practices and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to empathize with grieving families
- Sales experience to assist families in making informed decisions about funeral arrangements
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks related to funeral preparations
Note: This job may require on occasion working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
