Director of Nursing - Home Health & Hospice

Job Summary:

Elite is looking for an ambitious Director of Nursing - RN with at least three years of management experience in Home Health/Hospice to help us manage our growth in Utah. Most importantly, we are looking for a great manager of people that can establish solid relationships with staff and can get things done. We need a 'doer' type personality.

Job Duties:

• Staffing/Coverage on both Home Health & Hospice
• QAPI Management
• QA (Quality Assurance)
• COP Compliance
• Orders compliance
• Utilization/Frequency of disciplines management
• Billing coordination on Home Health & Hospice
• Ability to supervise, guide and develop nursing skills and performances
• Home Health IDT management Agenda/In-Services
• Hospice IDT management and in-services
• Staff Evaluations
• Staff Discipline
• Orientation and skills assessments of new patient care personnel
• Day to Day clinical oversight
• OASIS Export and HIS Export
• Must be able to perform nursing functions in times of staff shortage
• Direct supervision of all clinical staff (including therapy services)
• Patient and staff complaint resolution

Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) Utah
• Humble, positive, friendly, and compassionate
• Must be open-minded and teachable
• Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Utah
• Pass background check (DACS/Fingerprint clearance)
• Must have critical thinking skills
• Must have at least 1 year of Home Health & Hospice management experience
• Pay will be salary and will be based on experience

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting: This position primarily involves sitting at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and other office equipment.
• Keyboarding and Typing: Proficiency in keyboarding and typing skills is essential for data entry, document creation, and communication.
• Vision: The ability to see and read computer screens, documents, and written materials is required.
• Hearing: The ability to hear and understand verbal communication, both in person and over the phone, is important for effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
• Mobility: Limited mobility may be necessary for activities such as retrieving files, reaching for office supplies, or moving within the office environment.
• Lifting: Occasional lifting of lightweight office materials or equipment (e.g., files, packages, office supplies) may be required, typically not exceeding 25 pounds.
• Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are necessary for tasks such as operating office equipment, manipulating files, and using a keyboard and mouse.
• Prolonged Screen Time: Expectation of working with electronic screens for a significant portion of the workday; periodic breaks may be encouraged to reduce eye strain and maintain overall well-being.
