Overview:
The Hockey and Recreation Event Coordinator is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the events taking place in the venue including developing, coordinating, and supporting all event related activities key to the operation of the facility including but not limited to maintaining collection and distribution of event information from promoter/show representatives/sports teams. Billing preparation/support, customer service representation to our guests and logistics of departmental activities relating to events. This position is adminitrative support in nature and reports directly to the the VP of the Berger Foundation Ice Rink.
This role will pay a wage of $25.00- $28.00 per hour and is non-exempt.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Coordinates, and personally participates in the activities of Iceplex recreation programs and special Recreation Events.
- Assists with the planning and development of all recreation programs.
- Schedules and staffs recreation clinics, camps, and tournaments.
- Assists with the response to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Responsible for coordinating and recording registration for hockey programs.
- Performing various administrative duties to include hockey programing and scheduling.
- Assist in building Iceplex youth and adult marketing database to support the programs of Hockey and skating.
- Liaison between USA Hockey and management.
- Liaison to private Hockey and Curling tournaments.
- Provide building support, as necessary as manager on duty.
- Performs other work as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of youth & adult hockey program experience
- Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and efficiently – both written and oral.
- Knowledge of USA Hockey Programming.
- Strong sense of creativity and organization.
- Proficient in various platforms such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Background and understanding of a Learn to Play and Youth Recreation Program.
- Sense of ownership and pride, in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
- Team player with excellent time-management skills.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be a clear communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.
- Full Coach Compliance (Including: USA Hockey Membership, Background check, SafeSport training, Liability Insurance)
Physical Demands:
While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, etc; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information; and constantly moves about the arena and event sites before, during and after events to service clients and. Talking and standing for long periods.
Work Environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud during events, depending on the incumbent’s location, and minimal during non-event times.
