POSITION SUMMARY
The essential element of the Hispanic Community Liaison is to increase blood donations from the Hispanic community by raising awareness of the need for blood donations within this community. This position will develop, maintain, and expand relationships with Hispanic businesses, churches, schools and at community events. Responsible for a comprehensive working knowledge of the Hispanic Community in our service territory including its community leaders, demographics, organizations, schools, and churches. Uses this knowledge to constantly identify strategic opportunities for growth and expansion within the Hispanic community. The Hispanic Community Liaison works in collaboration with the Regional Account Managers (RAMs) to coordinate blood drives, community events, and recruitment activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of the Hispanic Community within LifeStream’s service territory, including its community leaders, demographic makeup, organizations, schools, churches and major events. Use this knowledge to identify strategic opportunities for growth and expansion within the Hispanic Community.
- Increase blood donations from the Hispanic community by raising awareness of the need for blood donations within this community.
- Procure new Hispanic blood drive accounts by developing and maintaining professional relationships within the Hispanic Community. Work collaboratively with the appropriate RAM to ensure blood drive success.
- Serve as the Hispanic representative for LifeStream at community events, speaking engagements, and when necessary with the press, with the goal of gaining new blood donors and donor groups and increasing donations from the Hispanic Community.
- Increase Hispanic donation and blood drive frequency by developing and maintaining relationships and engagement within this community.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing to develop cohesive educational and campaign materials focused on educating the Hispanic community about the need for blood donations.
- Assist the organization in translating LifeStream collateral and printed materials into Spanish.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, each essential duty (as identified above) must be performed satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in sales/territory management, with a strong background in customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication and public speaking skills in both English and Spanish is required. Sales and marketing experience is strongly preferred. Local candidates preferred.

Current California Driver’s License.
