Job description

We are looking to hire a Community Marketing Liaison to help support the Marketing team in the implementation of marketing strategies that will help support our growing network within the San Diego area . Under direction of Community Marketing Manager, the Community Marketing Liaison works with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and implement marketing strategies to support member retention and growth goals for San Diego and the Inland Empire. The position serves as a link with stakeholders to create brand awareness through grass root and community-based efforts and implements tactics to drive member engagement. The Liaison consistently displays professionalism, initiative and the ability to work autonomously, as well as being a productive and engaged team member.

A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Contributes to development of marketing strategies for IPA membership growth and retention including but not limited to planning community events, health plan/broker collaborations, member outreach, and other retention activities.

· Develops and executes quarterly marketing plan, monitors and reports results (ROI) and provides recommendations for enhanced effectiveness.

· Develops and nurtures external stakeholder relationships including community-based organizations, insurance brokers, health plans, and civic/municipal leaders to meet business objectives.

· Coordinates event logistics including venue selection, speakers, partner sponsorships, promotion, evaluation, securing vendors/contracts, etc.

· Negotiates and secures vendors to execute

· Works closely with dedicated project manager to accomplish event/campaign promotion using traditional and digital methods.

· Displays maturity, and fairness when interacting with others emphasizing tact and empathy.

· Demonstrates exemplary verbal and written communication skills.

· Thrives in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and initiative are essential.

· Required participation at periodic evening and weekend events

· Communicate verbally and in writing through appropriate channels.

· Handles other duties as directed by management.

B. Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (exceptional experience in lieu of degree accepted)
  • 2-3 years in health care (managed care a plus) or community based organization with marketing/outreach responsibilities
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and highly skilled in Outlook and Inter/Intranet use.
  • Must have California driver’s license, use own vehicle for business related travel and be responsible for all liability on vehicle
  • This role will be a hybrid role - 2-3 days out in the field in the community.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $70,304 - $75,000 Annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
