POSITION: High School Special Education Teacher (Long-term Substitute)
POSTING PERIOD: October 6, 2023 - October 31, 2023
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate preferred
2. Must Register through EduStaff
REPORTS TO: Albert Lombard, High School Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Ability to work with children and families of diverse backgrounds.
2. Plan for and deliver quality education instruction and related activities.
3. Develop lesson plans, appropriate instructional aids, and learning methods aligned with the Common Core State Standards.
4. Utilize excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, paraprofessionals, and other professional staff members.
5. Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment while respecting individual student needs. Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive classroom management plan for the classroom.
6. Assess student progress and growth toward learning targets.
7. Other duties assigned by Building Principal.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a temporary position to fill in for leave of absence for teacher for approximately 12 weeks.
November 27, 2023-March 1, 2024
Long Term Substitute rate of pay set by district
