School Social Worker Needed

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced School Social Workers for contract positions in Peyton, CO. We are actively interviewing candidates for this school-based role. The ideal applicants will meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with special education students and families. Renewal opportunities based on performance may be available while on contract.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to support students' academic and social-emotional success.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
• Advocate for students and families to access community resources and support services.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergency situations.
• Facilitate workshops and trainings for students, parents, and staff on topics related to mental health and social-emotional well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in social work or related field.
• State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (required).
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably with special education students and families.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations governing School Social work services.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to advocating for the needs of students and families.
