Job Summary The High School Principal is responsible for providing effective leadership and management to ensure the successful operation of the school. The primary goal is to create a positive and conducive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, college readiness and personal development for students. Essential Functions 30% - Educational Leadership: Directs, coordinates, and oversees the administration and delivery of educational programs, academic and social counseling, and related activities; collaborates with the college departments and programs, High School districts, community, organizations and other schools to develop and coordinate educational programs and services; develops and implements educational program goals and objectives.

Fosters a culture of academic excellence within the school curriculum. Monitors school facilities and property for overall safety, security, and maintenance needs. 20% - Administrative Oversight: Oversees the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures; directs the preparation of class schedules, records and attendance reports; monitors, reviews, and ensures conformance with established federal and state standards.

Manages and administers budget and expenditures; identifies resource needs and makes recommendations. Addressing student and parent concerns by identifying and implementing solutions. 15% - Staff Development and Evaluation: Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews, and evaluates the work of staff; confers with teachers.

Recruit and retain qualified staff. Provide professional development opportunities. 15% - Student Success and College Readiness: Monitor and assess student academic performance.

Implement and maintain programs for college and career readiness. 5% - Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents, college leaders, community members and local businesses. Collaborate with community partners to support the school's mission.

Keep stakeholders informed about initiates and achievements. 5% - Innovation and Adaptability: Encourage and support innovative teaching methods. Stay informed about educational trends and incorporate new approaches.

Seek and participate in professional development and networking opportunities. 5% - Campus Representative: Serves as a representative and on committees; attends school board meetings; responds to/resolves difficult or complex inquiries and complaints. Meets with and maintains communication with the High School Superintendent.

5% - Miscellaneous Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, educational leadership, or related field; four (4) years of educational program administration experience that includes two (2) years of management and supervisory experience. OR Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, educational leadership, or related field; six (6) years of educational program administration experience that includes two (2) years of management and supervisory experience.

Desired Qualifications A. Experience as a middle school or High School Principal B. Three or more years of experience as a classroom teacher C.

Experience as a middle school or High School; lead teacher on special assignment, instructional coach, administrator, or assistant principal D. Experience working with dual enrollment. E.

Master's degree or above in Education, Public Administration, or related field. F. Possess a Valid Principal's Certification Special Working Conditions This position is specially funded by the Department of Education as a traditional Charter/Public School, with a projected end date of June 30, 2025, and is subject to annual renewal.

Possession of a valid Arizona Teaching Certificate, and possession of an Arizona Principal Certificate or a passing grade on the Arizona Educator Proficiency assessment (AEPA) principal subtests parts A and B. Must hold a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card May be required to work at multiple sites or locations. May include some evenings and weekends May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor May be required to lift up to #25 lbs MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas.
