Duties are typically indoors and occasionally outdoors, which may include unpredictable weather conditions. Responsibilities include assuming a key role in interviewing and training certified teachers and classified employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned): Assists the principal in the general administration of the school. Assumes a key role in instructional leadership, professional development, supervision of the school staff, providing assistance and sharing the evaluations.Assists in the administration of the school and its instructional programs in all its facets.Assumes a key role in the guardianship of all students, keeping them current and on file.Assumes a key role with the supervision of conduct within the school, including disciplinary procedures, and keeping records of any disciplinary action.
Assumes a key role in interpreting and implementing Board policies and administrative policies in his/her area of responsibility. Assumes a key role in facilitating communication between personnel, students, and/or parents for the purpose of evaluating situations, solving problems, and/or resolving conflict. Assumes a key role in preparing and presenting information (e.g.
budget overviews, accounting processes, distribution formulas, purchase orders, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, gaining feedback, and ensuring adherence to established internal controls. Assumes a key role in HR responsibilities; recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and assisting of school personnel.Assumes a key role for the attendance, conduct, health, and safety of the students.Assumes a key role in the interpretation of the schools programs to the community and enlists the participation of the community.Assumes a key role in the on-going improvement of the school curriculum.
