Donna Klein Jewish Academy, an independent non-profit school for children grades Kindergarten through grade 12, is a Jewish community day school serving families from a broad spectrum of Jewish backgrounds and religious practices. Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt High School at Donna Klein Jewish Academy seeks an energetic, engaging, and experienced High School English instructor for the 2024-25 school year.
The ideal candidate should have experience teaching on the High School (HS) level and be capable of teaching students of different levels, including AP, Honors and Regular. In addition to being passionate about working with teenagers, the ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, has a strong desire to be part of a community, has an understanding of differentiated instruction, and is comfortable with technology and its use in the classroom setting.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Teach a minimum of 4 classes (potentially AP/Honors/Advanced/Regular; grade levels 9-12)
- Involvement in additional roles within the HS, which may include serving as a club advisor or grade leader
Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in English or Education.
Master’s degree in English or 18 credit hours in graduate-level English courses strongly preferred.
