Archimedean Middle & Upper Conservatories, the nationally top-ranked, Miami-based public middle/high school is seeking a highly qualified, passionate, and ambitious high school English teacher.
SALARY
Salary Schedule: Pay Steps 1-15 (based on experience) salary range= $63,000-$68,000 plus Degree Supplement ($3,100 for Masters to $7,200 for a Ph.D) plus Fringe Benefits package ($6,000 per year). Overloads are possible.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Candidates must be in possession of degrees in or closely related to the field that will be taught and must be able to show evidence of high personal expectations and achievements in one's own post-secondary studies and/or professional work.
Candidates must be certified or be eligible to become certified to teach in Florida. Experience is a plus, but recent graduates are also welcome to apply to!
Impressive student outcomes are highly dependent on very dedicated, detail-oriented, motivating, competitive yet caring teachers who want to give their best always. Given the high expectations we set for our students and faculty alike, we. therefore, seek teachers who are not only experts in their field, but are also highly passionate about their material, being able to motivate students of various backgrounds and abilities while maintaining the top performance and rigor that has come to be expected in our classrooms.
Finally, we want teachers who want to be actively engaged with students by helping run enriching extracurricular activities whenever possible.
Teachers should be able to work in the U.S. legally and be certified to teach middle/high school in Florida or be eligible to become certified in Florida.
