Who are we looking for?
The Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing support to end users for computer, system, devices, access and hardware issues. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve problems. This position will be visible throughout the organization as one of the points of contacts for support issues and should have the ability and desire to have a positive impact on the IT department and organization.
What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $15.00-$25.00, hourly base compensation. Please note this range is an estimate; actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
What will you do?
- Provide technical support to end user requests via tickets, calls, walk-ups and chats.
- Support and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc).
- Provide support for Macs and mobile devices (iPhones/Android)
- Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues including minor cable termination.
- Use end point management tools to manage various device configurations across the organization.
- Troubleshoot printers and manage supplies.
- Provide basic phone system end user support.
- Other duties may be assigned
What education and experience do you need?
A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:
- Associates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or relevant discipline
- 3+ Years working as Desktop Support, supporting Windows & Apple systems.
- 2+ years supporting Office 365 applications.
- Experience with ticketing systems, assigning and triaging cases.
- Strong technical ability and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving and organizational skills to support all levels of the organization.
- Able to efficiently prioritize support incidents and respond promptly, competently, and patiently.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
