Position: Help Desk Support

Summary: The Associate Consultant is responsible for providing on-site technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and assisting with IT-related tasks. This role requires advanced knowledge of Windows and Apple macOS systems, as well as expertise in troubleshooting complex technical problems.
Responsibilities:
User Support:
- Provide on-site support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to and resolve Help Desk tickets using IT service management tools.
- Assist users with login problems, password resets, and account management.
Hardware and Software Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and perform repairs or replacements when necessary.
Network Connectivity:
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, both wired and wireless.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining network printers and other peripherals.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and troubleshooting steps.
- Document hardware and software configurations.
Training and Guidance:
- Provide basic training to end-users on software applications and IT best practices.
- Offer guidance on using technology resources efficiently.
Security:
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
- Ensure antivirus software and security patches are up to date.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to resolve complex issues.
- Escalate problems to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or a degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Deskside Support Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-oriented with good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree in Business or Computer Science.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
