Job Summary
The Plant Operator is responsible for all aspects of the helium purification facility, which includes, but is not limited to, the operation of technology such as: membranes, pressure swing adsorption, sweetener, plus auxiliary equipment (pumps, heaters, compressors, 500kW gen set, etc.). Many of the Plant's processes will be remotely monitored and controlled but will still require daily checks and visits to the Plant. The helium product is shipped in tube trailers, which will require the Plant Operator to prepare export paperwork and perform QC/QC testing on the inert gas product (i.e. generate a Certificate of Analysis for each trailer load). In addition, the Plant Operator will be responsible to operating the onsite gas supply well.
The Plant Operator will ensure that all regulatory and HSE field requirements are complied with for the operations of the Plant, well, pipelines and product loading facility. The Plant Operator will maintain the Plant and continuously look for opportunities to ensure operations are running in a safe and efficient manner. The Plant Operator will perform additional tasks as reasonably requested.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required
