Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a talented individual to support instrumentation and controls for lethality tests conducted at the Solid-state Laser Testbed (SSLT) located at the High Energy Laser System Test Facility (HELSTF). The candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of various electronic systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and DoD regulations.
Required Skills
- Able to take direction and give direction for setting up instrumentation to include thermocouples, photo-diodes, networks, telemetry, and safety lights.
- Able to set up, modify, calibrate, test, maintain and operate data acquisition systems.
- Install and align CCTV cameras. Operate CCTV system and archive videos.
- Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical modules, components, and wire harnesses.
- Install, terminate and test wires and electrical components into electrical assemblies per engineering drawings and specifications. Such as CAT5 / CAT6 / Fiber Optics / Coax.
- Demonstrates proficiency at electronic assembly, soldering, crimping, splicing, harness fabrication, and control panel building.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Strong decision-making abilities.
- Assists customers with sensor recommendations.
- Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Follows Electronic Static Discharge prevention (ESD) practices.
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
- May work from verbal instructions.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- May be required to work extended hours or weekends, as needed.
- Infrequent travel domestically, as needed.
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working from slightly elevated surface on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in office, laboratory, and outside environments.
- Ability to perform and/or assist all activities, including the use of hand and power tools, lifting heavy objects, and working with industrial chemicals and adhesives such as epoxy, glues, paints, and cleaners.
Required Experience
- High School Degree
- One Year Experience in a Technical Field
Desired Experience
- Associate's Degree
- Five Years Experience in a Technical Field
