Nesco Resource is working with a client looking for a Technical Electro-Mechanical Specialist, Systems Phone Support role:
Summary: Utilizing a strong electrical background, work with internal and external sources to gather information, analyze, and troubleshoot to find a solution to a problem that satisfies the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to interact with customers and field service technicians to provide them with technical product information, guidance, and assistance.
Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for installation, turn-on, discontinuance, or change in service.
Able to handle both technical service calls as well as parts orders from customers and field service personnel.
Creates work orders, determines charges for services requested, helps identify the needed service components, collects deposits, completes work order execution, and issues discontinuance orders when needed.
Solicits sale of new or additional services, including retrofits and upgrades to existing equipment.
Able to handle complaints concerning billing of services rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
Willing to visit customers at their place of operation to investigate conditions preventing completion of service connection orders and to obtain contract and deposit when service is being used without contract.
Works with field service engineers and internal personnel to determine root causes and solutions to remote equipment problems.
Education and/or Experience: Trade school or two-year technical degree desired, strong electrical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good working knowledge and the ability to use MS Office software and email and Google suite. BPCS manufacturing (AS400) software is a plus, but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Electrical certificates, Refrigeration license desired but not a requirement.
Other Qualifications: Electrical background desired, with the ability to read electrical schematics, PLC controls, three phase power (high and low voltage), and AC/DC circuitry. HVAC experience desired or a basic understanding of the refrigeration cycle and components, with the ability to read refrigeration and electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical prints. A pleasant phone voice, good interpersonal skills, and good customer service skills are required. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment to manage time and workload to meet deadlines.
