Location: Cherry Point - Havelock, NC
ASCI Federal is currently seeking applicants to be considered for a Heavy Truck Driver role. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Heavy Trucks, a valid CDL, and a commitment to delivering goods safely and efficiently. If you have a strong driving record and the ability to meet federal contract requirements, we encourage you to apply.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safe Transportation: Operate Heavy Trucks in compliance with all traffic regulations, ensuring the secure and timely delivery of goods.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper handling and adherence to federal contract specifications.
- Route Planning: Plan and follow designated routes, considering fuel efficiency, delivery schedules, and federal contract requirements.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues promptly. Keep the truck clean and well-maintained.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatch, clients, and team members to ensure smooth transportation operations.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid CDL with the appropriate endorsements for Heavy Trucks.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Truck Driver.
- Clean driving record and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must meet government requirements to gain access to military installations and systems.
