Job Overview
We are looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Construction Brand, with a focus on utilities- water, sewer, and storm.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Equipment, including, but not limited to, Excavators, Loaders, Rollers, and more
- Operate compact equipment as needed (skid steer, mini excavator, etc.)
- Take action to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects
- Locate underground services, such as pipes and wires, before beginning work
- Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order
- Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
- Travel to different construction sites as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Valid driver's license, preferred
- Heavy equipment operation experience, required
- Utility pipe installation experience, preferred
- Experience with water, sewer, and storm drain installation, preferred
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the procedures used to control Heavy Equipment
- Coordination and strength to operate all the controls on the equipment
- Ability to remain stationary in the seat or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods
- Ability to maintain constant awareness of multiple concurrent activities of a construction site
- Strong verbal communication skills to interact with other workers on the jobsite

Compensation
Compensation will be discussed in the interview process based on experience and skill level.
