Job Overview

We are looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Construction Brand, with a focus on utilities- water, sewer, and storm.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Equipment, including, but not limited to, Excavators, Loaders, Rollers, and more
• Operate compact equipment as needed (skid steer, mini excavator, etc.)
• Take action to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects
• Locate underground services, such as pipes and wires, before beginning work
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order
• Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
• Travel to different construction sites as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Valid driver's license, preferred
• Heavy equipment operation experience, required
• Utility pipe installation experience, preferred
• Experience with water, sewer, and storm drain installation, preferred
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the procedures used to control Heavy Equipment
• Coordination and strength to operate all the controls on the equipment
• Ability to remain stationary in the seat or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods
• Ability to maintain constant awareness of multiple concurrent activities of a construction site
• Strong verbal communication skills to interact with other workers on the jobsite

Compensation

Compensation will be discussed in the interview process based on experience and skill level.
