JobsRUs.com is a service-oriented staffing/recruiting company dedicated to working closely with our clients. We currently are hiring for a Heavy Equipment Shop or Road Technician in East Syracuse, NY
Hours: M-F 8:00-4:30pm
$20.00-$25.00/hour DOE
Uniforms provided and laundered
Experience/Skills:
• Diagnose problems; operate computer-based diagnostics on material handling equipment • Project a positive image and Deliver Our Promise
• Ensure proper planned maintenance is performed
• Maintain adequate and accurate parts inventory on van
• Strive to perform service jobs on time the first time
• Utilize parts and service resources to properly repair equipment
• Operate material handling equipment
• Own hand tools and maintain company tools
• Complete work orders punctually and with accuracy
• Attend training and other professional development opportunities to grow skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
• Valid clean driver’s license (Road Technician)
• Able to work independently.
• Safely operate hand and power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks and material handling equipment. • Must have the ability to perform strenuous and heavy work; exert force up to 100 pounds on occasion and frequently handle loads to 50 pounds. Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc
• Minimum of 1-year technical training or experience repairing Earth Moving Equipment, Forklifts, Crane/Boom Trucks, Trash Hauling and Road Paving Equipment, or Automobiles. Equivalent combinations of education/knowledge/experience will be considered.
