SalaryNesco Resource is searching for an experienced HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MECHANIC for a contractor in Livonia, MI. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
Pay: $25-30/hour (based on experience) with comprehensive benefit plan.
Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Heavy Duty Construction Equipment, such as rough terrain forklifts, industrial forklifts, and cranes. The candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose problems in Heavy Duty equipment
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on a large fleet of heavy equipment
- Keep records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Order replacement parts as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a vocational or technical program in heavy Equipment Mechanics or related field is preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in Heavy Duty equipment maintenance and repair is preferred
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with equipment
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have a valid driver's license
