Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:2nd shift 1:30pm-10:00pm
Shift Premium
Performs all secondary Heat Treat process' in support of manufacturingoperations for production and includes research and development. This includes all thermal processes (heattreat, aging, vacuum operations) for all products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Competencies:
Adheres to production schedulesas required by the company and/or customer.
Ensures process specificationsidentified on work order are followed.
Ensures furnace temperature iscorrect and consistent with specification requirements.
Monitors furnace activity toensure process is in control per specification requirements.
Loads and unloads furnace withproduct per specification requirements.
Completes recording charts withrequired information.
Follows established safety andenvironmental guidelines.
Performs record keeping andhousekeeping.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Can be trained to performsecondary process in support of manufacturing operations that includes degrease, lube, etch,anodize, chromate conversion coating, and roll sort.
The pay scale for this position ranges from $18.00-$29.13 hourly
Qualifications
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract,multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, commonfractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout routine multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required to stand; and talk or hear. The employee is frequentlyrequired to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands andarms and bend. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Specific vision abilitiesrequired by this job include color vision.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequentlyexposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wetand/or humid conditions. The work environment can be hot during hightemperature summer days. The noise level in the work environment is usuallymoderate.
